Today we're introducing The Ultimate Deployment Company, a new business built to help organizations design, ship, and operate AI systems they can rely on across their most important work.

Real adoption of AI is less about access to models and more about fitting them into the messy reality of an enterprise. The Ultimate Deployment Company extends our ability to embed specialized engineers — forward deployed engineers, or FDEs — directly inside customer teams that are tackling demanding problems in production environments. They partner with leaders, operators, and frontline staff to find where AI moves the needle, redesign the workflows around it, and turn that progress into durable systems.

In connection with the launch, Ultimate has agreed to acquire Northbeam Labs, an applied AI engineering firm with a strong track record of putting AI into operational use. The acquisition will bring roughly 150 experienced forward deployed engineers and deployment specialists to The Ultimate Deployment Company on day one.

The Ultimate Deployment Company is launching in partnership with a coalition of global investors, consultancies, and systems integrators committed to scaling enterprise AI deployment responsibly. It is majority-owned and operated by Ultimate, so customers get a single, coherent experience whether they engage Ultimate, the Deployment Company, or both. The new entity opens with more than $4 billion of initial capital to scale operations and accelerate strategic acquisitions.

Why deployment matters

Ultimate has always believed that building capable models is only part of the work. The harder, more lasting impact comes from helping people and organizations actually use those systems — safely, reliably, and at scale.

Across the businesses now using our platform, one pattern keeps repeating: the next chapter of enterprise AI will be defined less by raw model capability and more by how well teams can deploy it into the work that matters. That deployment muscle is what we're investing in.

Building for where frontier AI is headed

We set up The Ultimate Deployment Company as a standalone unit so it can develop its own operating model and customer rhythm, while staying tightly connected to the research and product teams shaping what's coming next. That link is the point. FDEs build against where capabilities are going, not just where they are today, so customers spend their capital on systems that compound as new models and tools come online.

A typical engagement starts with a focused diagnostic of where AI can create the most value, then narrows to a small set of priority workflows chosen with the customer's leadership. From there, FDEs work inside the organization to design, build, test, and ship production systems — wiring our models into the customer's data, tooling, controls, and core processes so teams can use them in day-to-day work.

Accelerating deployment from day one

The Northbeam team brings deep experience operating real-time AI systems inside complex enterprise environments, where reliability, governance, and measurable business outcomes are non-negotiable. Their engineers have spent years connecting models to the data, controls, and workflows that move an actual business — exactly the muscle The Ultimate Deployment Company needs from day one.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the coming months.

Scaling deployment across the economy

Our launch partners collectively support thousands of businesses across industries, geographies, and company sizes. That gives us an unusually broad view of where AI can create value and which deployment patterns actually generalize. It also brings repeatable experience driving operating change and adoption across portfolios — a strong complement to our technical and product expertise.

The combination is the point: Ultimate's visibility into where frontier AI is heading, paired with our partners' practical experience executing transformation at scale. Together, we can learn faster, generalize the patterns that work, and bring those lessons to many more organizations.

"AI is finally capable of doing meaningful work inside an organization. The hard part now is connecting it to the infrastructure and workflows that actually run the business. That's what The Ultimate Deployment Company is built to do."
